This Is How Gravity Actually Works According to Einstein’s theory of general relativity, gravity is not actually a force pulling objects together. Instead, massive objects bend and warp the fabric of space-time itself. Everything in the universe moves through this curved geometry, and what we perceive as gravity is simply objects following those curves. The more massive an object becomes, the deeper it distorts space-time around it. Planets orbit stars because they are moving through curved space, not because they are being invisibly pulled. Near black holes, this curvature becomes so extreme that even light cannot escape, and time itself begins to slow down.
