Each state’s number of congressional districts depends on its population: New York has 26, while Wyoming has one. Each district elects one representative to the House every two years, with Democrats and Republicans as the main competing parties. 🔵🔴 The Senate gives each state an equal voice: all 50 states elect two senators, regardless of population. Senators serve six years, with about one-third of seats up for election every two years. To pass a federal law, both chambers usually need to approve it before the president signs it ⚖️ Governors lead their states and are not part of Congress. The division of seats between Democrats and Republicans helps determine the balance of power in the U.S. 🇺🇸 #uscongress #congress #houseofrepresentatives #senate #congressman #senator #governor #midterms #elections #democrats #republicans #usgovernment #washingtondc #capitol #whitehouse #newyork #usa #unitedstates #learning #geography #map #history Thu, 05 Nov 2026 20:45:34 GMT https://validator.w3.org/feed/docs/rss2.html PeerTube - https://tube.blueben.net https://tube.blueben.net/client/assets/images/icons/icon-96x96.png https://tube.blueben.net/videos/watch/0236a559-9d00-470e-9ed6-fdce554ef854 All rights reserved, unless otherwise specified in the terms specified at https://tube.blueben.net/about and potential licenses granted by each content's rightholder.
